Kristin Orr, MA, LPC, RDT, NCC (She/Her)
My work is grounded, trauma-responsive, and clinically skilled — and it also honors intuition, creativity, and the deep wisdom that emerges when we stop trying to ‘fix’ ourselves and start listening. I specialize in working with women in midlife navigating life transitions using creative arts, somatic, intuitive and mindfulness-based approaches. My work is rooted in a commitment to social justice and anti-oppression and I am strongly HAES and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
I deeply believe in the power of connection as a powerful catalyst for healing. I walk with clients to build resilience and work towards insight + integration.
My background is broad and eclectic, and this shows up in my work with clients. In addition to my masters degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Drama Therapy, I hold a MFA in Theatre Performance and am a theatre artist/educator with thirty years of experience in applied theatre and autobiographical performance. I have also been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2003, which gives me particular insight in to somatic expressions of both chronic and acute trauma. I am a skilled guided meditation and breathwork facilitator and in April 2026, I will complete my yoga teacher training (RYT-300) and sound healing mentorship.
The therapeutic relationship is the single most important factor in successful psychotherapy outcomes. My counseling style is warm, strengths-based and collaborative. I strive to develop a strong and authentic rapport with clients that fosters safety, honesty, transparency and growth. If you are walking through something challenging or simply desire a richer, more fulfilling life, I welcome the opportunity to connect!
